"Why do you live in Cleveland?"
The American Grandeur of Cleveland
Typically when I am asked this question I start in on my rehearsed and repeated speech about how affordable, down to earth, vibrate Cleveland is and how I am glad everyone doesn't want to live here so I can enjoy the lack of traffic and affordable real estate prices..blah..blah...blah.

Then our friends at the Huffington Post paid us a visit and summed it up much better than I could - so I thought I would share it with you.  Then you can share it with your friends and family around the country (or world!)..and we will spread the word about our awesome city!

But, beware of the last paragraph...we don't want too many people learning our secret, moving here and causing too much traffic and driving up our real estate prices!  The link to the entire article is below and here it is the last paragraph...

"What's the catch? There isn't one. As life is, things go in cycles. It just so happens Cleveland is blossoming again. If you are looking for opportunities, reasonably priced real estate, cultural diversity, high culture, top medicine, professional sports and mid-western charm, pack your bags and discover the American grandeur and quality of life of Cleveland has going for it!"

Boring - But Important!
Cleveland Water Clear Reads

YAWN - this is when you take a sip of your Red Bull, Monster Drink, Pepsi, coffee...or whatever you prefer to stay awake for the next 30 seconds...we are talking water meters...zzzzzz

We have already contacted some of you to let you know Cleveland Water would be visiting your home to install the updated Clear Read Water Meter. Most of these meters are located in the basement, but some are outside and some may be in the house.

The rest of you will be getting a call/email soon...just a heads up to let you know the technician will be around or in your home.   Please note the following on the day of your installation:
1.  There must be 2-3 ft of clearance around the meter (not behind furniture or anything)
2.  If there are animals they have to be secured
3. The water will be turned of for 30 minutes
4. The install takes a total of 45 minutes
5. Eric or his associate will be with the technician the entire time

WaterClear Reads upgrades water meters with state-of-the-art equipment that allows Cleveland Water to obtain meter readings without coming to your property which ismore efficient and better for the environment.

WaterClear Reads virtually guarantees all of our customers will receive accurate bills based on actual consumption. By collecting meter reads from all of our customers on an hourly basis, we will be able to provide more information to help you manage your consumption andmore quickly identify leaks.

By collecting information on an hourly basis, we will know almost immediately if a meter stops working, giving us time to come out and replace the old or defective meter before sending a customer an estimated bill.

All done - you made it!

Autumn is in the Air...Inspiration!
The nip in the some it brings the thrill of football season, warm cider and bonfires.  To others it brings the impending doom of a long cold winter just on the horizon. Scrapping your car of ice at 6:30 am, long nights and very short days.  For those of you already anticipating your seasonal depression (like me), here are a few thoughts to help you enjoy the autumn season...
“Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile.”
William Cullen Bryant

"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."
Albert Camus

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns."
George Eliot

"Buy your ticket to Florida now, you get better pricing than if you wait until February."
